A RustDesk alternative with no server to look after
RustDesk is open source and lets you run your own server. VVDesk is for teams that would rather not: install the app, sign in and connect — with the servers, updates and team features taken care of.

Open source or ready to use?
RustDesk is a good choice when you want the source code and full control over the servers. That control comes with work: a server to install, secure, update and keep online, and the address book and console features are part of the paid Server Pro.
VVDesk takes the opposite approach. The servers that let devices find each other — and relay them when a direct connection is not possible — are ours to run, in the EU. You get a team console, roles and session records without operating anything.
What VVDesk gives a team from day one
- Sign in on every device and share one address book, with groups and tags
- Roles for Owner, Admin, Technician and Viewer, and invitations by email
- Session recording and an audit log on Team and Business
- Signed automatic updates with rollback if a step fails
- Port forwarding, Wake-on-LAN, connection checks and log collection
When RustDesk is the better choice
If open source is a requirement, if you need Linux, or if no data may ever leave your own servers and you have the people to run them, RustDesk fits. VVDesk Business can also run on your own server, with the same apps your team already uses.
Questions
Is VVDesk open source?
No. VVDesk is made by VVOffice and sold as a service, with a free plan for personal use. Its security is described on the Security page: end-to-end encryption, pinned TLS to our servers and signed updates.
Can I host VVDesk myself like RustDesk?
Yes, on the Business plan you can run VVDesk Server yourself, so device registration and relaying stay inside your own network.
What does VVDesk cost compared with a RustDesk server?
Solo is €9.90 a month billed yearly and Team €19.90 per seat. There is no server, backup or update work on your side.
